to BA Quarter Horses where we are breeding for the mind, the stop, the cow and some color!  We are a small private breeding farm of champion futurity halter and all-around versatility, reined-cow and reining horses.  We have a very small but elite band of mares that embody the extreme talent we strive for and the dispositions we require. Our main focus is to continue to produce horses we enjoy.  We want to breed to stallions that show outstanding dispositions and pass on willingness and trainability.  We breed for easy moving Non Pro horses with Open talent and the desire to perform all packaged with correct conformation and that extra touch of pretty.  With the re-evaluation of our program.... we have decided to focus on breeding some of our mares for black, grulla & dun foals!  We hope to breed for some beautiful black, grulla and dun prospects that meet all of our other goals and would have the ability and mind be competitive in the reined cow and reining show pens.  If we miss the color, oh well - we should still have the kind of prospect you would expect to come out of our breeding program.  Color is not a priority...quality, disposition and trainability are!   2009 produced 2 black fillies as well as an exceptional dun stallion!

We have very proudly owned many World & National Show Top Ten producers and performers in Halter, Western Riding-Jr & Sr, Leading The Nation horses in multiple catergories in the Top 5 and Top 10.  We have bred an Top 5 World Show Open western lunge-line yearling stallion.  We have also had the distinct pleasure of owning and training a Jr Western Riding National Champion and a Sr Reining National Champion. We have trained many Youth All-Around Versatility champions, ApHC Champions, Futurity Champions, State Champions and AQHA Champions.  We have bred open &  breeders futurity champions, a Best Foal Of Show, year-end high points, a year-end reserve high point and a UNANIMOUS Breeders Futurity Champion.  We are the breeders of the hot up and coming red roan pleasure prospect MY FIRST NOTICE - the first son of My Final Notice.  He was already Top 5 2x at the World Show.  We are the proud breeders of WORLD CHAMPION BA LIGHT EM UP a 2007 stallion by Hit The Lights and 2008 stallion Mamas Gotta Juicebox by Million Dollar Sire Smart Like Juice.  We are hoping our 2008 black filly - BA LIGHTS OUT by Hit The Lights out of my dear mare, BA Little Smartie makes it to the NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity!

We understand and believe in the power of a strong broodmare band with World Champion bloodlines, on their papers.  But we also understand that every once in a great while a great mare can come from humble beginnings.  We choose only the best of the best.  Our prospects have bright futures not only in the ring as performers, but have tremendous potential in the breeding shed.  We are so very fortunate to have been the home to a daughter of Multiple World Champion sire Charlies Out Of Oil, ITS OIL ABOUT ME.  It's Oil About Me is now an AQHA point earner after returing to the show pen from broodmare status. She is also an open & a breeders futurity champion producer, a Best Foal Of Show producer, a money winning producer, a year-end high point producer, a year-end reserve high point producer and a UNANIMOUS Breeders Futurity Champion.  Chocolate has been sold, but we retain the 1st right of refusal to purchase her back.....she is very dear to our hearts!

Dunnit In Hollywood by Hollywood Dun It

We find that combining the old foundation blood with the popular arena show blood creates athletes with a good mind, honest heart, tremendous ability and that have the structure and durability to stand up to years of use in the show pen.  This breeding creates a much better minded prospect that can just get to work instead of needing to be worked down before you can even get to work…  Our reining and working cow prospects are own daughters of Hit The Lights and Dunnit In Hollywood.  Our mares carry the legendary blood consisting of  Freckles Playboy, Grays Starlight, Hit The Lights, Colonel Freckles, Custom Crome, Dunnit In Hollywood, Hollywood Dun It, Holidoc, Wheeling Peppy, Dry Doc, Crome Plated Jac, Mr. San Peppy, Lenas Sugarman, Peppy San,  Doc O Lena,  Barbie Dun It, Playboy Seventy, Dry Doc, Jewel's Leo Bars, Mescalito Benito, Two Eyed Jack,  Great Pine, Pine Bartender, Doc Quixote, Doc's Prescription, Hollywood Jac 86, Peppy San Badger, Shorty Lena, Kaliman, Doc's Sug, Easter King, Topsail Cody, Doc Bar, Just Plain Colonel, Reminic, Smart Little Lena, Smart Like Lena and Little Tequilla Lena blood... with mares like Rest Stop, Leave The Rest, Playboys Promise, Docs San Pebbles, Docs Nahara, Smokins Tokin, Positivio Lena, Sugar Gay Bar, Poco Lena, Lena On Me, Miss Spooknik, Delicate Dry, Quo Vadis, King Ginger 70, Scripts Beauty, Lena San Trouble and Smart Peppy on the papers.  But more importantly than what's on the paper is our mares & prospects all have incredible talent, good dispositions and excellent conformation and produce naturally talented individuals with trainable attitudes, wonderful dispositions, textbook conformation and tremendous heart.

Our prospects have it naturally,
so we have less work to do and more to enjoy!

Barbies Dun It

We had a wonderful colt by BARBIES DUN IT in February, out of our top broodmare - Hollywood Rein Storm.
This colt is not only has near perfect conformation; but he's breath-taking in motion, & he's DUN.

We don't just talk about QUALITY being a priority, and color being a bonus...... and here's the proof.  Looks (eveyone can enjoy!), conformation (as they should be), ability (without question), pedigree (show pen proven) AND color!

Our homebreds-
Take a look at our fillies BA Hollywood Glitz - BA Social Graces - BA Lights Out to see the kind of prospects we are breeding for.
We have also had 2 very incredible colts come out of our program...  Mamas Gotta Juicebox, now in Canada & BA Light Em Up, now preparing for the World Show in 3 events!  See them both on our 'Past Tails' / 'Memory Lane' page.

BA Hollywood Glitz is the only foal we were able to keep back out of our first 'Reining/Performance' foal crop....  Needless to say we are thrilled with her and how she's grown & developed.  Everyone who sees her agrees, she is the REAL DEAL!
BA Light Em Up, also from our first crop - is a WORLD CHAMPION already!!!

Our first crop is a HUGE success under saddle... trainers are exceptionally pleased!
and it looks like the judges are impressed to... we have a WORLD CHAMPION out of our first colt crop!!!

So many people ask us what we feed.
And we are always happy to share... we feed ADM.

admworld30.jpg
The ONLY feed we use... and our horses are better for it!

healthnuggets.jpg

performancehorsefeed.jpg
Patriot 14% Performance feed

You need it..... ADM has it!

Patriot 14% Performance -

Fortifed Feeds are mixes of ingredients meant to provide the correct balance of proteins, energy sources, vitamins and minerals for particular groups of horses. In contrast, grain mixes contain grains and molasses, but not added protein, vitamins or minerals. Grain mixes always contain more phosphorus than calcium and usually lead to nutrient deficiencies and imbalances in the total ration.

Fortified feeds are much better for horses than grain mixes because they contain vitamins and minerals in the correct amounts and ratios for horses.

Fortified feeds come in two main forms, pelleted feeds and sweet feeds.  We recommend and only feed the pelleted feeds. Pelleted feeds contain less starch and sugar and are more digestible in horses than typical sweet feeds.

2008 weanling stallion - another example of good feeding

Healthy Glo -

·    Highly digestible form of energy and provides more energy per pound compared to grain

·    Can reduce the “grain-high” associated with feeding large amounts of grain

·    Can reduce the risks of digestive disorders, such as typing-up, ulcers, founder, and colic associated with feeding large amounts of grain

·    Use of dietary fat reduces the thermal load in working horses, resulting in better stamina and endurance

·    Improves body condition of thin horses

·    Contributes to hair coat shine and “bloom”

And of course we feed the best Alfalfa & Alfalfa/grass

mixes we can find!
